Inspire me, move me, just don’t leave me behind

I have met and found wisdom in more than my fair share of extraordinary people! I am so grateful God has found use and purpose for me in any capacity and desired to teach me and impart knowledge and said wisdom from such extraordinary world changers!
I could be in a completely different place in life or possible not presently living had it not even for giving and loving God fearing people in my path helping guide me. To you I tip my hat with not only gratitude but respect and honor! You know who you are!
I was on a track of destruction before Jesus found me and leaving a wake of pain in my path. I made a decision to be more… More than even those around me expected of my life. Many told me I would be and do nothing of any significance but I say I refuse to be normal! Being Normal is for the weak and afraid but striving to be extraordinary is for the courageous and for those dreamers of dreams and makers of music!
I have been unwanted and cast aside I have been used and thrown away by people claiming to be loved ones but who hasn’t? I am talking strictly people at this point! God brings all good things but people have free will. Even those considering themselves followers of Christ but have not seen His face been in His face can destroy others and do that very thing! But being an extraordinary person means much more than living the American dream or the every day, day-to-day living….

Loving to the point of laying your life down
Giving at your own expense
Patience in the waiting place
Gentleness kindness discipline and self control

I desire to always be poured into so I may in return pour all I have out, to die empty and used up! I pray I never find myself stagnant but always seeking a challenge to grow and evoke better!
Why? Why strive so hard when in the end it all goes away…
Why? Because of that ONE! That one no one else could reach but I can!
The word says that not one should perish so I do my part to find that one!
We do not know how many will enter the kingdom behind our yes ad we do not know how many are lost behind out no!
I was behind someone yes… If that someone had said no I could have been lost forever… I am grateful!
But there’s more….

We are to give and give and give and in our humility do not be to pridefully humble that we are not able to receive as well! We are not called to be takers by any means but pour out all we are given for the kingdoms cause but remember someone may be learning and growing by giving into our lives!

I have always cherished having a mentor and someone to find value in my life with a desire to teach and challenge me. I am at a place in my life currently I have never been before, without a mentor. It’s a very vulnerable place that I don’t really like but I know God is teaching me and Holy Spirit is guiding me and seasons are just that seasons that change quickly.

In 2 Timothy 1:1-8 we see Paul’s mentoring of young Timothy. Paul thanks God for Timothy (3a), he prays for Timothy each day (3b), he longs to be with him (4), he is intimately familiar with Timothy’s life and family (5), and he speaks encouragement and direction into Timothy’s life (6-8).

We are to continually watch over each other in love! It is essential that mentors be loving enough to correct (Proverbs 27:5-6) and caring enough to affirm (Hebrews 10:24). I know this generation and our modern lifestyle has created a people without time to spare but people are worth our effort and time! People are worth schedule stoppers as e-break pullers!

We were made to be relational. Reach out love someone give to them and treat them with kindness. Change lives because everyone has the power and ability to be world changers. Stop spreading hate and find a way to give back.

Patience….
Nearly a novelty in our day!
We want “it” right now!
But we fail to remember we are the “makers” of music and “dreamers” of dreams! This takes time!
This is not something that can be instantly fabricated and nearly anything instant is often not worth having!

“Rivers know this: there is no hurry. We shall get there some day.” A.A. Milne

No one wants to wait a lifetime for a promise to come to pass this definitely includes me! I want me promises and my purpose NOW! Just like everyone else!
But I want a quality promise and a quality purpose that leaves behind a legacy!
I can’t get caught up in the process of thing but stay focused on the goal!

“It is far better to endure patiently a smart which nobody feels but yourself,
than to commit a hasty action whose evil consequences will extend to all
connected with you.”
― Charlotte Brontë, Jane Eyre

Here we find the deepest wisdom…
We are nearly ALL leaders! We have someone following us in some form or another…

Tyranny of the Absurd

Tyranny< oppressive power Absurd< ridiculously unreasonable

Unreached and unevangelized: 90% of the people living in the 10/40 Window are unevangelized. Many have never heard the Gospel message even once. There are either no Christians or not enough of a Christian movement in many cultures of the 10/40 Window to carry out vibrant near-neighbor evangelism. If those groups are to be evangelized, believers will need to leave their own culture and enter another one where they will seek to plant the gospel, perhaps even learning a new language in order to communicate. Such cross-cultural evangelism is required because there are people groups with no church movements that are understandable or relevant to them.

The thought of this is so disturbing considering our way of life… Our futile search for the elusive “American Dream”. We stand at the microwave and huff about waiting for 2 min on something to heat. We often approach the church atmosphere in the same way. We do not stop to consider the areas in the world in need of clean water… “Cooked” food… And forget clean sheets.

What in the world are we doing???
Living it up! Making the most of our lives….right?!
Int that what we call it?
Wrong… We are wasting precious time! I am guilty!
It’s about a simple yet profoundly radical lifestyle consisting of personal prayer not just corporate prayer, and devotional time with Jesus not our best friend we meet with to “pray and study” formally turning into a gossi-fest!

Most of you have stopped reading at this point because this is hard to swallow and who wants to admit the ugly truth!
I just don’t want to wait until I’m 80 to learn what my granny knows at 80 I want to learn from wisdom now and go further than the last generation ever dreamed of going!
Are we pleasing HIM? Am I pleasing Him?
Sometimes……

Think about it…You are a leader….not because you have a platform…but because someone is following you. Don’t lead “them” astray allowing “them” to think they are truly living the life God has called them to and just missing the mark….

“one emancipated heart and intellect! It would knock off the fetters from a million slaves.” – Henry David Thoreau

Can we learn from wisdom? Can we make ourselves a bit uncomfortable in this age of pop-tarts and drive thru windows? Is it possible for a generation to live in complete devotion to The Creator of all things without compromise?

Of course it is… Of course it is!!!

Where are you seeing compromise?
How do you handle it or do you?
How are you an example of living an uncompromising life?

Staying Faithful in the Waiting Place

3 keys for staying power when in a season of “wait”.

Sometimes when we are in a place of waiting we cannot see an end in sight and in a case like that this will make all the difference:

STAY IN FAITH
James 5:11 we count those blessed who endured. You have heard of the endurance of Job and have seen the outcome of the Lords dealings that The Lord is full of compassion and is merciful
He IS faithful and His Word is Truth!

SURROUND YOURSELF WITH TRUTH
What has God said? If something does not line up with what He told you… Don’t listen!
2 Thessalonians 3:3 But The Lord is faithful. He will establish you against the evil one.
And consider John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

SEEK GOD
Both intimacy and relationship with God keeps us grounded. Saying intimate with Him is the most important key!
Proverbs 8:17 I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently find me.
Lamentations 3:25 The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him.
I don’t believe when He says “wait” He means sit quietly I look at the word “wait” more in the capacity of a waiter or a waitress that waits by serving…

1 Thessalonians 5:24 Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass.

Everyone’s “IT” is different so be encouraged in the waiting place whether that place feels like a desert or a cave there is an end and He is faithful to carry you through to “IT”!

There is Nothing Glamorous About the Mission Field!!!

In preparation for the mission field, as I was packing my suitcase, I began question God concerning the way my trip has turned out. I suppose I have been disappointed in the drastic changes that have occurred and it is not the trip i thought I would be making. So I have had lots of little talks with myself to straighten out my thinking and needless to say that hasn’t worked so I asked God to help me with this state of heart.
I am guessing my disappointment has been concerning the area and the work I now will be doing and God had to give me a little correctional check and remind me HE is in control. HE knows the individuals I will meet and their needs as well as my own needs and what I have to offer the advancement of the Kingdom and His use for me.
Sometimes my desire for responsibility can exceed my ability to handle it and I am humbled by Gods choice to use me when I know my flaws and failures.  Sometimes the mission field is tiring, 947122_10201456629996534_1378997547_nfeels like you are not making a difference because of the overwhelming needs and not to mention often the lack of showers or civilization. (I know these are not things people want to hear someone talking about concerning missions but lets get real!)
The mission field, of any kind, is not glamorous or alluring!  I will say what has made all the difference for me was a simple statement/question that was presented by a missionary to future missionaries. She simply put it: Don’t ask me if its easy ask if its worth it! This is what I ask myself when I find I am frustrated with what God has me currently doing. Is it worth it God? My answer is always a resounding ABSOLUTELY, ALWAYS! Despite the heartache, tiredness, disappointment, homesickness and sometimes body-odor, it is ALWAYS worth it!!!

If anyone asks is it easy, consider the enjoyment of sometimes having a real bed and sometimes sleeping where you can, being away from family friends and familiar loved ones, your favorite meals and delicious snacks you so enjoy, and consider the amount of privacy you desire and will not have. I know it’s surprising to read but NO, this is not fun, enjoyable or easy. Not holy enough for you? My flesh and probably anyones would choose comfort every time given the opportunity, it is natural. But is it worth it?
What is more important comfort or seeing the hardest heart softened before God, wheelchairs abandoned, deaf ears opened and caused to hear, wombs barren able to carry a child, and the spirit of heaviness or weightiness of poverty lifted and the hope of Heaven put in its place! It is ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT!!!Image
Is it worth it to see smiles on the faces of those God has brought to you for ministry because you remember their name, and tears int he eyes of women who are unable to speak english and don’t understand what your saying but believe God hears and understands when you are praying for them!  These moments, countless others like them… well I don’t think an answer needs to be given….I think it is obvious!
The truth about missions, besides it not being easy, it can be trying, tiring, long and overwhelming because no one is giving accolades, patting your back, rejoicing in your giving, and telling you how great your doing but then you reflect on the question that keeps you moving step after step. Not only is it worth it to be in this situation to be giving all your made of but is HE worth it?! Is HE worth it all? Is HE worthy of His reward, all the suffering He endured for our eternity spent in His love? This is an undeniable YES for me!
To be used up and emptied out for the sake of “the least of these” is in my opinion laying down your life with an unconditional true love that God has called us to in life. Everyones calling is different and not all are obvious missions filed callings but THEY ARE! Every day you step foot out your door and into the world you are walking in a mission field! Yes I realize some are called to third world, second world and first world countries and others are considered pastors, evangelists and teachers but all are on the mission field.
I desire God to take me to the point of the end of my natural abilities and capacity so His supernatural abilities are all I can rely on and He receives the glory!  The best part of all of this is He is SO faithful to His word and His word is truth so we can count on the absolute of His supernatural ability to make all things good! How could anyone deny how incredibly WORTH IT He truly is! Just spend a moment with someone so broken hearted and walk away knowing you were used to add even a single laugh or smile or encouragement to their life and you cant help but revel in the knowledge He is worth it and they are worth it!!! Image
The joy God brings from the little work we do in the field brings more joy and comfort than natural comfort is capable of delivering! Despite how large the feelings are of discomfort the sacrifices are really small in comparison to what He gave AND what He has to give us to make up for what we are giving!  I am grateful He is willing to use me even in a small capacity and thankful He doesn’t ask me to do anything He does not equip me for! It is nothing less than an honor to lay my life down for Christ and give all I have and am for the Kingdoms advancement. You can never out do or out give God! Without God I am incapable but He is willing to step in and bridge the gap between my ability and the need of those around me!

Share with us your thoughts concerning your calling and the reality of your willingness! How has sacrifice changed your life?

Reality as it could be!

The real world is His world.  Live for the reality that heaven could know your name.  God wrote the story of my life and YOUR life! He’s called us to be great. He’s called us to change the world.  If you were able to read the story He wrote, would you recognize it as the story your living?

Oh God, get my eyes off of me and let me see the earth as my responsibility. As an intercessor and an ambassador, give me compassion and clarity

Mold me into a leader you can use, a servant with Your heart! Good leaders are careful about little things. And the word clearly teaches ” whoever wants to be first must take the last place and be the servant of all” Mark  9:35” So the only way to be a mirror of God’s leadership is to be a servant leader!

Godly leaders know there is one thing, and one thing only that can weaken the power of the enemy, and that is the NAME of Jesus.  We can never run away from a challenge you and I were born to embrace. Don’t run by disengaging or shutting down among other ways of escape or running from your destiny.

“The stamp of the Saint is that he can waive his own rights and obey the Lord Jesus.” C. S. Lewis

Don’t limit the God inside of you.  Where ever you are, find what God is teaching you in that place.  At all times we are surrounded by the hurting and needy. It is our job as representatives to make a difference in their lives, to change the world loving one person at a times as God brings them across our path. ImageLove is free in a sense yet will cost you everything at time. The Word has plenty to say about love and most followers of Christ are familiar with the verses concerning love whether they practice unconditional or conditional love. The Word describes loving others eternally. There is nothing an individual can do or will do to you or against you that should cause you to stop loving. It is ironic actually:
Most Christians are able to easily forgive those they perceive as non-believers because, I suppose, they believe or think those outside the church do not know better and its part of their nature to do “wrong”. This same extension is not granted to their brothers and sisters in Christ IN the CHURCH!!! Check yourself… consider the state of love that you currently are living… is it Godly?

There is so much hurt in the world. I see it on a daily basis around me and you really don’t have to go far just look at your Facebook newsfeed. Its filled with heartache, disappointment, and sadness.  So someone has to be an ambassador of love! We have to be an example of the One we love so much and who loved us in the middle of our darkest and filthiest pit of sin!   No one is perfect and everyone not only makes mistakes but inflicts pain at times. Image
There needs to be an epidemic of understanding, compassion, kindness, love, and hope passed on to those we come in contact with instead of destruction and pain. This epidemic should replace what we have known in recent days as cruelty, hate, cheating, stealing, and an attitude of the “other guy” is a stepping stone instead of a team player or friend.
I know I have written about this before in a previous blog but I see so much heartache around me that I can’t help but harp on it a little more and maybe a lot more in the future! We may have bad days and bad moods but we can actively choose not to take our bad attitude out on someone else which will in return create a chain reaction.
Along with a change of behavior that needs to take place we need men to step up and be men and respect and take care of the women as well as women to step up and support the men and take care of them. I realize gender roles are not what they have been in decades past and nor do I think that we should go back in time trying to recreate any decade past. There is a way to be godly men and women without sacrificing our individuality and still supporting each other.

We need a change in many areas but starting with Love is the best place I can think! If there was one thing you could do on a daily basis to make a difference in someones life and generate a chain reaction of love and kindness instead of frustration and moodiness what would it be?
