Fear is actually False Evidence Appear Real.

How many times have we heard this… How many times do we remind ourself and BELIEVE it? Fear, is a basic survival mechanism, that sounds natural. But it is a mechanism of the flesh. It does not provide us with an effective answer or way out. In actuality it is paralyzing and crippling. Courage however, as we have also all heard, is not the absence of fear the surviving mechanism, no… it is standing in the face of what we fear while we are afraid! Do it afraid!

Yes fear is helpful in some ways, it helps keep us safe sometimes, it causes us to be more cautious but on the flip side it creates distrust. Its isolating. LIFE IS SHORT! Do you have time to be isolated? Do you have the extra time, as it marches right past us, to sit back and allow caution to stifle you to death?

Prayer and reading the Bible is your answer. Secondly have a support network in place! Reading the Bible and praying sounds so cliche but friend, it works! Truly I have talked to so many in need and petrified of their situation and its outcome and though sometimes it was not the desired outcome when they prayed their way through and read The Word on a daily basis it made all the difference to create Courage, and Peace!

The Bible says “Do not Fear” 365 times! That’s enough for every day of year!!

Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Isaiah 41:10
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Isaiah 43:1 ESV
But now thus says the Lord, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.

What a blessing!!! The God of the universe…. The creator of all things… He has called me, He has called YOU by name and claimed us as His own!!!!

Fear Stained Face

Let my life be a reflection of you, proof of your Love! The evidence of a Great and Mighty God who loves unconditional and gives only good things…

I want to show love to every single person I come in contacts with. Show them who Jesus is and not through mans view but allow them to come to Him and see His face themselves…

If i say I love and do not show it, I truly love no one, if i give all I have to the homeless and needy but do not love them, I have nothing I am the poor, If I speak with beautiful words and Gods word with power and command a mountain to move and it does but do not have love, I have nothing, I am nothing. I am bankrupt without love.

What are we, what am I showing to the world… am I living proof of the love of God?

When its all said and done and my life has come to the end. Only love remains. What will I have to show God the Almighty who gave all to me and all for me. When my works and words are place on the alter and set afire, when the flesh is burnt away what is left as an offering from my life? I have one obligation to love Him by loving Them!

Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.

Kingdom Essence

If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader. —John Quincy Adams

When you are considered by God and self royalty, then behave like royalty. Lead, don’t lord over… The most successful leaders are those who are servant-leaders. Consider the individuals in your life who have impacted you the very most as a leader. How did they lead you? Did you follow them out of obligation or desire?

Ask yourself this:

Am I a serving leader or self-serving leader?

The essence of the Kingdom of God is being the solution to the problems of others.

The essence of leadership is the service to others.

We are called to be all things to all people however, Image there is no need to for you as a leader toto try to be a superhero and save the world neglecting self! Every leader needs a strong support network in place to be most effective. It is important to trust those people you believe God has placed in your life to be that support system so you can in return invest in their lives, and the lives of everyone else.

A key question a leader should ask themselves is… What in my life do I need to change?

If you want the people you are leading to grow and excel then you as a leader must do those things first! In order to excel there must be growth from the head throughout the body.

As a leader you must: See the future, engage others by investing in their development, constantly reinvent, value all people and learn from results, embody the values you wish to instill, and continually self-reflect and ask yourself, “Am I who I want them to be like?

Cognitive Self Reflection…

With a grand attempt to avoid potential, Monday self-deprecation, I nearly laughed out loud to myself with an abrupt shock to my hears considering my house is so still and silent. Moving around in my mornings and cutting through the fog despite the early hours in which it all occurs is nearly unbelievable to myself bringing me to my foreseen humor when I decided to shake things up a bit and cognitively reflect on the reality that is my life…

Todays thought patterns will now involve, 6 unique, exciting, or just plain odd things about ME.

I may be stretching myself here but I am going to give it a go…

1. Sometimes I have insomnia because I can’t shut my mind off concerning people may not even know.. or events in which i am not even involved. Possibly plain odd?

2. As flawed as I am, Jesus made me and He doesn’t make mistakes. Despite this fact not making me unique in our population on Earth, it is an exciting fact!

3. Intercession  1 Peter 4:10 Each one, as a good manager of God’s different gifts, must use for the good of others the special gift he has received from God.

4. The sound of ocean waves literally lulls me into a blissful stupor of drooling hypnosis.

5. Traveling reminds me I am alive

6. There is no shut off switch to my love button so once its pushed despite the pain I am caused I love.

I view myself, as tiny as I am, as a world changer! I want to give all i have and die all used up. It is not hard to give, it just seems difficult sometimes finding those who will receive. I do have hope, the one true Hope of man kind… He makes it happen. What is hope in a finite reflection? Hope is a belief in a positive outcome related to events and circumstances. hope implies a certain amount of perseverance and the ability to believe that a positive outcome is possible even when there is some evidence to the contrary.

To the Pure…

To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled.  They profess to know God, but in works they deny Him, being abominable, disobedient, and disqualified for every good work.                Titus 1:15-16

I have been so privileged to meet plethora of people, innumerable in my lifetime. I have met some of the most beautiful and pure, kind hearted people as well as the darkest crippled individuals in true need of the marvelous light of God!

I think of one woman in particular, let’s call her B for anonymity purposes. A holy woman, shining, beautiful in her kindness and love, a true worshipper, soft-hearted, humble, and trustworthy. If she were the human face of the church, you would not want to look away.  If she were their fruit, you would call this a very good tree. She is in essence the cream skimmed from the top of the of the local church. God has a way of giving us things, people such as this. Christians who are disheartened by carnality and hypocrisy in their local church, and young people filled with real zeal who are looking for the power and purpose they read about in their Bible but do not see in their fellow congregants:  these are the types who are often drawn to God’s “special” people I believe who are these pure individuals spoken of in Titus. Everyone knows a so-and-so who is wonderful, and a Mrs Spark who gets people going in a service lull. I am talking about a woman that is an example of a great number of people across this old muddy ball called Earth.

“To the pure, all things are pure…”

There is a safety and refuge in Christ that does not disappear because your environment is unsafe.  On the contrary.  If a pure-hearted follower of Christ walks 1,000 spiritual miles to the prayer room (or any other hardship), seeking to know Him more, guess what? They are probably gonna know Him more.  They are probably gonna share in Jesus’ promise from the sermon on the Mount:  ”Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.”

hungering and thirsting for righteousness, you will be filled (hope you enjoy my pun).  God is good.  Unfortunately, most believers are too ignorant of their individual place in the kingdom and too awed by corporate expressions to ascribe the fruit of their seeking to God’s goodness, rather than attribute it to the conference, the worship team, or the room.

In other words, you were filled because you hungered.  You were blessed because you worshiped the Living God.  You were healed because of your faith.  These are biblical principles.  Instead of preaching Christ and the Bible, ignorant believers preach, “You gotta visit this place (or hear this music, or experience this environment…)”

My point is, with any movement, it can be hard to distinguish as you seek to discern the fruit, which fruit you are looking for. To discern fruit, you need to track its impact.  Not its entrants.

I have tracked and am grateful to God for examples like this woman that can change my generation and her own.

We are to be a servant to all especially if we wish to lead or be an authority on anything…

I have found the world is always changing. Old habits die a lot easier than I always thought or heard they could. I am not sure where the journey I am on will take me but I am definitely up for the adventure!

In our culture we have a tendency to speak without a trace of humanity. We slowly adapt to a new environment but we must first find a way in or a place we belong.

I recently discovered the answer, to the ineffective approach of the church. Paul describes to the church in 1 corinthians chapter 9:19-22 in great detail how we should live and approach other people. It is the furthest for of living form narrow mindedness that could possibly be described.

It is an understanding of the value of education and openness to others cultures and their struggles. Not that we are to accept forms of living outside fo the law of God but we are to understand and be able to converse with an individual who is unlike ourselves.

Its not about speaking the churches “language” because that language is foreign to all people groups outside “our” church. Paul is urging us to gain the ability through education and EXPOSURE to minister to and meet the needs of the people unlike ourselves! Sitting in church is easy,  but being the church is not so easy.

It is not acceptable to say well they are just not the “people” I am called to minister to. If they cross your path you are called to be Jesus to them, love them, and  help them.

“if you give an inch they take a mile” yeah maybe but we are called to give them 2 miles when they ask or need one! Sin is more than tragic and painful its an inconvenience when its someone else’s. Yet Jesus forgave you and healed you. He helped you out of the pit, pulled you form the mire. Where does His love leave you now? Fat and happy to rest contently in His glory or to be content working in His glory, loving others and throwing others a rope in their pit?

“Its hard” “It hurts” “I have so much i need to do” Those are common and easy excuses.

Who in the Bible could have made those excuses but chose not to do so? Who could have made much greater excuses like “But Ill get my head chopped off” “I will be burned at the stake” But I will never see my family again”.

What are we actively doing to save the world?
See beyond yourself…

His knowledge is boundless.  His love is a shoreless ocean and we will never exhaust it.

So lets try!
