Complacency… smacency!

The power a man finds in simple words…mere words…has evolved and changed over the years. Masters of the pen long ago and more recent still could move a person to the depth of their being. CS Lewis’s voice still rings true and clear throughout his writings relevant as if we were a timeless society!
A voice…mere words…much more than that, they can be, to someone near devastating waters, a beacon in their night filled with confusion and desperation. I am a harvester of that light. Devouring any knowledge that comes my way.
The conviction and dynamic passion with which Henry David Thoreau wrote was with such power men were ripped from their seats of complacency and thrust into action.
Where is the passion and desire driving people today to fight for something! Stand for injustice and refuse to go unheard!

Do something different today…anything different.  Step out of your rut…MY rut, I have to too! Give God a place and some room to work and be willing to obey. He is able and if we are willing, that makes an unstoppable team of CAN DO!

Being complacent is not as easy as it sounds, you have to CHOOSE actively to ignore your calling, ignore HIS voice, and refuse to be obedient. The opposite of complacency is easier in my opinion… it takes one active decision…say YES! Be obedient!  Being complacent is not going to create comfort and familiarity for you or me its only going to create a path for destruction to creep up and mow you over!

Joyfully arresting me within…

This process helps me when my day is blue, I can reflect on those things that lift my spirits.

What does your list look like…

It’s been a long day…

My dreams are bigger than me
They seem to burst at the seems.
My days grow longer and those behind me fall away as they see the mountain
I seek to conquer.
I can’t do it within myself.
Gods strength is greater stronger
Than my weaknesses are weak.
My days are daysier and my desire is desirously deep.
It’s inside me makes me exist.

I still believe dreams come true
Miracles happen
And love conquers all!

Before I knew you…

I lived in a land indescribable.

A place far far away, beautiful and clean. The ideal place for a picnic at any time, blue skies, red kites, and chocolate at every meal!

I lived in a castle to my full potential but always had room to grow. I loved the people and they loved me because they knew I had their best interests at heart. Animals and people carried on superb conversations and butterflies filled the hillsides and rainbows were very familiar.

When it rained it was for dancing in and lightening storms were grand displays of beauty.

I did not sweep floor, I had toys piled to the ceiling and everyone came to play. the land was pure, the people pure of heart and leadership, character, and integrity in abundance.

Idealistically I retreat to my memories of home.

Death Always Comes…

When death comes, to be absent in body is to be before my Lord.

ashes to ashes and dust to dust has been repeated echoed in trust

my spirit returns to the Creator and my body to the earth.

My soul is restored and finds peace and rest.

I fight for freedom maybe not with a conventional weapon but

I have spent long hours on my knees in tears and intercession.

Life has now passed as it always does, my desire is my purpose was fulfilled

not wasted and used for destruction and devastation.

It has been said by one wiser than I

hells wide road is paved with intentions for good

but was my life more than such deeds, were they more than understood.
